If you can dream it, I can create it.
Hi, I’m Alex,
I’m a professional illustrator, book cover designer, and logo artist with an honors degree in Multimedia Design from Brooks College of Art.
Based in Southern California, I live in the desert with my husband and our wonderfully chaotic rescue crew: four cats, two dogs, and a guinea pig.
Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are of attending art classes with my mother at Interlochen School of the Arts in Michigan when I was just five years old.
Creating has never been something I chose—it’s simply always been part of who I am.
Today, I create custom book covers, branding, and illustration work for authors and creatives who want artwork that feels distinctive, intentional, and deeply personal.
Alongside my client work, I’m also the artist behind @fiendishgleee, where I explore my own illustration work, characters, and creative projects.
My Philosophy
Writing a book is hard work. Getting readers to stop, notice your story, and choose your book in a sea of hundreds of others? That can be even harder.
A strong cover isn’t just decoration—it’s your book’s first handshake, first impression, and first invitation to a reader.
That’s why I design every cover with both artistry and strategy in mind. My goal isn’t simply to create something beautiful (though that absolutely matters)—it’s to create a cover that captures the heart of your story while helping your book stand out in a crowded market.
I also believe the creative process should be exciting, collaborative, and as stress-free as possible. Working with an artist should feel inspiring—not overwhelming. I work closely with each client to make sure the final piece reflects your vision while bringing professional design experience and storytelling instincts to the table.
I specialize in creating high-quality covers across multiple genres, always with the same goal: helping your hard work shine.
And one thing that matters deeply to me: every cover I create is crafted by hand using my own illustration and design skills. I do not use AI-generated artwork in my client covers—ever. When you work with me, you’re getting original human-created art made specifically for your story.
